Có nhiều bài tiếng việt về sửa chữa nguồn kiểu Switch Mode. Tuy nhiên bài tiếng Việt thường viết không có đầu đuôi và đôi khi khó theo dõi.
Dưới đây là 1 số lưu ý note lại bằng tiếng Anh.
Bài đầu khá dài nhưng dễ đọc. Một điểm rất quan trọng khi vọc điện là Safety first, điều mà bài này nói rất kỹ trong khi các bài tiếng Việt bỏ qua.

Các mức vọc:
0. Safety first:
 Các biện pháp an toàn khi thử mạch, gồm hạn dòng dùng bóng dây tóc, Variac (?) để nâng áp dần. Cầu chì và biến áp cách ly...
Mục tiêu là có thể thay thế và xác định các thiết bị an toàn từ dễ đến khó. Sau đó là có thể tính toán trị số cầu chì, W bóng đèn ... để thêm vào mà không có thông tin trên mạch hay tài liệu hướng dẫn.
1. Xác định chỗ hỏng hóc.
Biết dùng các công cụ, quan sát, kinh nghiệm... xác định linh kiện hỏng hóc.
2. Sửa chữa bằng thay thế
Biết tìm và thay thế linh kiện hỏng, kiểm tra cho đến khi mạch hoạt động trở lại.
3. Sửa bằng cách mod (tự chế)
Có khả năng mod (chế) các linh kiện thay thế khi mà không tìm được linh kiện giống chủng loại. Có thể theo hướng dẫn trên mạng hay tự tính toán.
